What do you mean by afraid? Afraid of what? Or who? Any kind?
Many are afraid of spiders or snakes but it does not really change their life.
Even being afraid of sharks does not really affect one's life (except maybe if they live in Florida or South Africa).
Others are afraid of simply walking outside of their home or talking to unknown people.

More details would be a good idea.
